Networking
NEEC 2011 offers delegates many opportunities to network with colleagues and relax.
Our conference hotels, the Hilton and the Imperial Hotel provide high quality accommodation and facilities, and you may wish to take advantage of these at the end of a busy conference day! Why not stay on after the conference and explore Blackpool and the Fylde coast? Both hotels offer competitive weekend rates or contact VisitBlackpool for more ideas.
There will be opportunities to network with colleagues in your own field throughout the conference. The remit and audience for NEEC has widened so that you will meet delegates who have different roles too – with the common desire to improve the lives of children and young people.
We hope you will attend the Civic Reception, which takes place on Wednesday 5th January from 5 - 7pm. The Mayor and Elected Members of Blackpool will be your hosts in the glorious Lancastrian Suite at the Imperial Hotel. The young people of the town will welcome you with a dazzling performance. After this you can dine in either of the hotels (not included in delegates’ packages) or we will be happy to recommend local restaurants to you.
Social Highlight
The social highlight of the conference is undoubtedly the fabulous Gala Dinner that takes place in the beautiful Tower Ballroom on Thursday 6th January. We will transport you from your hotel to Blackpool Tower for a drinks reception.
This will be followed by a special dinner, with a Lancastrian theme in the Ballroom, with surprise guests and music. Please note that the cost of Gala Dinner is included in Full Delegates packages only. Other delegates are welcome to attend at a separate charge.
